Friday Encouragement

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark,
in the hopeless swamps of the approximate,
the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all.
Do not let the hero in your soul perish,
in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach.
Check your road and the nature of your battle.
The world you desired can be won.
It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.
~ Ayn Rand

Hi. Thank you for this incredible quote. Ayn Rand is an interesting author. Atlas Shrugged beat me up last summer. I had to take a hiatus (which I'm still on) before finishing the last half of the book.

Also, I'm not sure how I stumbled across your blog last year, but it was incredibly timely. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. Your words, along with a number of other factors in my life have altered my course forever. I was certainly in danger of perishing in the swamps of the approximate, not-quite, not-yet and not-at-all. But now, as you worded it at our home over dinner last fall, I'm ready to do my part in going for the jugular. God is doing some amazing things in my life, my marriage, my home, my family and my ministry. Thanks for your part.

How wonderful all these interviews and letters are! And all the links to the blogs have really been the sugar in my tea today! If I didn't get your address right on my blog, leave me a comment and I'd love to link my page with the upbeat sweetness you all have! http://amandagreenleafwhelan.wordpress.com
