Books Gone Wild

I came across what I think is a prophetic (and very encouraging) article in January's issue of Time Magazine. It's about the tumultuous transformation currently rocking the book publishing industry. Like so many other arenas of life impacted by the internet, the gatekeepers are losing their grip, and now anybody with enough courage, willingness and talent can make their way to the larger audience they most want to reach.

Read the article here.

Wow. Very encourging, indeed. I know several people who are glad to see the industry losing control.

Be good today? Why? Why not be dangerous, radical and free?

I suppose. But how many people hear that when they hear "be good"? Surely, most people hear, "be sweet, be nice, BEHAVE."
